Spending in Washington is out of control, and our growing debt is unsustainable.
Over the last 30 years, I’ve built two successful companies, founded a non-profit animal rescue and created jobs here in Connecticut. However, the path we are on will not leave our children and grandchildren with the same opportunities. They will face a very different America.
In the last two years, the deficit has increased by more than 900 percent! The 2009 deficit was $1.4 trillion. According to the Heritage Foundation, under the President’s budget, the annual deficit will continue at just under $1 trillion for the next decade, which will double the national debt.
It’s time for fiscal responsibility in Washington.
As your congressman, I will fight to limit the growth in government and make spending cuts that reduce the deficit. I will work to bring tax relief to families and small businesses.
I am committed to ensuring our children and grandchildren will be able to pursue the American Dream without a burden of crushing debt and taxes.
